When Greg founded Keystone Technology Consultants in 1997, Netscape Navigator was the web browser of choice and just under 55% of 40- to 49-year-olds used a computer at work (the highest percentage of any age group).
I can barely remember that world, especially when I consider our daily lives today, where we’re innovating with AI and exploring the opportunities presented by Industry 5.0.
Luckily, the most important things at Keystone haven’t changed and won’t change. They’re what define who we are and why we do what we do.
This is why, as I look back on 25 years, I’d like to start by singling out what has never and will never change at Keystone – underscoring our commitment to what we believe are the things that have always mattered the most.
(Then I’ll get to the cool branding updates.)
What Hasn’t Changed at Keystone for 25 Years
- Our founding mission: We’ve always been committed to making a positive impact by providing safe, secure and reliable solutions to our clients. This will never change.
- Our core values: “Helpful,” “Fun,” “Trustworthy” and “Developing” have always been the words that guide our business decisions and best represent who we are.
- We’re “people” people: There’s nothing more important to us than building relationships with our clients and business partners that are rooted in transparency and trust. This has always been the case and is just who we are.
- We’re always one step ahead: We’re constantly keeping up with what’s next to ensure we deliver clients the IT solutions that are perfect for their businesses. We’ve always prided ourselves on our ability to make IT one thing our clients no longer need to worry about.
What Just Changed (That Maybe Should’ve Changed Sooner)
Over the last couple of years, it just kind of slowly sunk in: We were keeping up with what’s new and innovative in our industry, delivering high-quality IT solutions, finding new ways to elevate the experiences of clients and living our core values…but a lot of this wasn’t reflected in our website, our logo or our messaging.
It all just had that indescribable “dated” feel.
So, to ring in our 25th year as an organization, Greg and I decided it was the right time for our branding to catch up to where we are as an organization. Here’s what’s changed:
- Our new logo better represents the pivotal role we can play: Just as a keystone is a central piece of infrastructure that holds a structure together, we have a seamless way of becoming a critical, foundational part of our clients’ businesses. We believe our new logo reflects this.
- Our new website offers an improved user experience and more accurately communicates who we are, what we do and why we do it: As a leading MSP in Northeast Ohio, we wanted our website to become a resource people can turn to to stay on the pulse of what’s next. We also wanted to ensure it was easy to navigate, visually on brand and spoke to who we are (people-first problem solvers who step in so clients can get back to business).
We Wouldn’t Be Here Without You
If you’ve read this far, chances are you’re a current client, an interested prospect, a member of our (phenomenal/fantastic/amazing/etc.) team or a valued business partner.
All of you keep Greg and I continually striving toward excellence, engaged, excited and looking toward the future.
This is why I’d like to stop talking about us and make this about you.
Thank you all for an unforgettable 25 years. Greg and I are so excited about what’s next and what we can accomplish together.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
(And we’d also love to hear from you! Feel free to send us feedback and questions!)
